Accessibility Statement
LexAI.llc is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee we provide equal access to all users.
Our Commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone.
LexAI is designed to be usable by people who are blind or visually impaired (using screen readers), deaf or hard of hearing, people with ADHD or cognitive differences, people with motor impairments who use keyboard navigation, and people with low vision who need high contrast or large text.
Accessibility Features
Screen Reader Support
All pages include proper semantic HTML, ARIA labels, roles, and landmarks. Images have descriptive alt text. Form inputs have associated labels. Interactive elements are properly announced.
Keyboard Navigation
Every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard. Visible focus indicators highlight the current element. A "Skip to main content" link appears on every page. Tab order follows a logical reading sequence.
ADHD Focus Mode
Our accessibility toolbar includes an ADHD Focus Mode that removes distracting elements like sidebars, chat widgets, and promotional banners โ leaving only the core content in a clean, centered layout with increased line spacing.
High Contrast Mode
Toggle high contrast mode via the accessibility toolbar or use your operating system's high contrast preference. We also respect the prefers-contrast: high media query automatically.
Large Text & Dyslexia Font
Increase text size to 120% or switch to a dyslexia-friendly font (OpenDyslexic) from the accessibility toolbar. Settings are saved automatically and persist across sessions.
Reduced Motion
Disable animations and transitions via the accessibility toolbar or through your operating system's reduced motion preference. We respect the prefers-reduced-motion: reduce media query.
Language & Structure
All pages declare the document language (lang="en"). Content is structured with proper headings, lists, and landmarks for easy navigation with assistive technology.
Accessibility Toolbar
Look for the โฟ button in the bottom-left corner of every page. The toolbar provides quick access to:
- ADHD Focus Mode โ removes distractions, centers content
- Large Text โ increases font size to 120%
- High Contrast โ maximum contrast for readability
- Reduce Motion โ disables all animations and transitions
- Dyslexia Font โ switches to OpenDyslexic typeface
All settings are saved to your browser automatically and restored on your next visit.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
LexAI.llc strives to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to achieve and maintain this level of conformance across all pages and features.
Ongoing Improvements
We view accessibility as an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. Our team regularly:
- Audits new features for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance before release
- Tests with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
- Validates color contrast ratios meet minimum requirements
- Reviews keyboard navigation paths for logical tab order
- Collects user feedback to identify and resolve accessibility barriers
- Updates ARIA labels and semantic markup as the platform evolves
Known Limitations
While we strive for full compliance, some areas may have limitations we are actively addressing:
- Some dynamically generated legal document content may have formatting that is still being optimized for screen readers
- Third-party integrations (payment processing) may have their own accessibility characteristics
- Complex data tables in analysis results are being progressively enhanced
